Another birthday has come and gone. I know some people dread their 30s, but I feel better than ever.
I did nearly have a mild heart attack yesterday, however, when one of my employees Floo-called about some "crisis" at the store, and... it was just that if I didn't get there to blow out the candles on my cake, they thought that the store might burn down. I think it's time for another class on fire prevention.
Since this is my weekend off, I think I'm going to surprise my father with a visit. Demelza, you free? Or maybe we should plan a family dinner soon.

Last week was pure madness at work because of all of the sales! A very successful madness, I might add, despite nearly having some customers trampled just outside our doorway in a rush to get the best deals. I have never understood why some customers seem to forget that other people exist the second they find a sale. Not all, mind you. Most of our customers are wonderful, lovely people, but there are always a few who completely disregard everyone else. Is it really that important to find whatever it is right then, no matter who might be in front of you? I've had to throw people out of my store for pushing and shoving. It isn't that I don't want them to shop here - I do! Just please, please be respectful of the other customers and of my employees.
I'm considering having another sale in May, anyway. On the 9th, specifically! For my birthday. I just have to decide what to do. Or maybe I'll just bake cupcakes and give them away to customers if they purchase something that day. Everyone loves cupcakes, right?
And before I forget! Congratulations to the RLA and their students! Truly wonderful news.

I realise I should have mentioned this to you before, but you know me -- get busy at work and everything else goes right out the window. Do forgive me! James was asking after you (and that man you're dating) over Easter. Can't say he was very nice about it, but you know him. I told him to fuck off (though in more family-appropriate words, just in case someone could overhear).

Hello friends, family, and strangers!
In honour of St Patrick's Day, we will be having a huge sale here at Siren's Song from March 1 through March 17 on all Irish music! Everything from classic folk music to popular music by Muggle artists will be 25% off.
Of course, we have plenty of other music as well if you're not a fan of the music of our Irish neighbours, but if that's the case, I hope you'll stop by so I can have a chance to change your mind.
And just in case anyone's forgotten, we do welcome owl-orders! The students at Hogwarts are particularly fond of that.
